Seeking articulate, well-rounded business manager for mid-sized, interior design and architectural firm in Manhattan.
Ideal candidate is organized, goal-oriented, and polished – equally comfortable working with numbers, building rapport with elite clientele and everything in between. In order to be considered, candidates should have at least three years experience within an interior design or architectural office in an administrative or business capacity (as opposed to as a decorator, or in another creative role). Experience with firms practicing high-end residential, retail or boutique hospitality work is preferred.
Besides overseeing the smooth, day-to-day function of the office and administrative staff, the business manager will have three areas of responsibility: human resources and staffing; bookkeeping and finances (with support from outside accountant); and marketing/PR and new business. Candidates who do not have specific marketing/PR experience are still encouraged to apply, provided they are comfortable communicators, and strong writers.
Firm is well established, and widely published. Diverse, interesting projects are realized in a modern aesthetic, by a staff of about 20. Salary is flexible, and commensurate with experience, but requirements for suitable candidates will likely fall between 55K and 70K. Excellent benefits.
